have those handing out anti-abortion information in front of the health clinic here in san francisco, saying, it's their right and they're just trying to save lives. san francisco supervisor david campos will introduce legislation today that would create a 25-foot buffer zone around the entrances and exits and driveways to facilities like this one. there is already a smaller buffer zone in place. campos says that planned parenthood has been complaining about intimidation tactics for at least a year. the balance of the right of people have to express themselves. and people to get health care, including reproductive health. >> planned parenthood is showing pictures that one group uses to scare clients. when we were there, protesters did not use such graphic images. a spokesperson says they're against the legislation. and believe that come women they have been coerced into coming. the panel says that violating the ordinance would be about $500. a second offense would double that penalty. >>> a daly city mother and her two sons who were killed by a drunk driver will be buried late their

in gilroy, and 79 in livermore. and 67 in san francisco, from fog that was up against the immediate coast. right now temperatures are cooler, there is fog developing in san francisco up to navato, and we did have again, very warm temperatures. let's get you outside to the live high definition camera, in san francisco, not a lot of fog, but a sliver making it into the downtown bridge. and the north bay, also for the peninsula tomorrow. the storm track is out here. it is very frustrating. we need that rain. we have had just about two inches. that is it for all of 2013. we're really seeing drought conditions and the jet stream is poised right up into washington, where most of the rainfall will be. we've seen the pattern for the last two to five months, offshore, if you want it sunny and hazy, we'll get that in the next couple of days, and shorts weather mixed in. not bad, the pollen and haze out there. you can get outside and enjoy it, mainly 70s for the east bay, south bay and north bay. at the coastline, 50s, 60s, as we head throughout thursday we'll later get slight cooling. but here is t

as it was yesterday and this morning's commute on san francisco freeways, northbound 101 looks good. you can see some of the fog kind of wisping through but the traffic is moving along pretty nicely. >>> also go to mark tamayo. >> good morning to you. the fog doing its thing. as you mentioned, not as dense as yesterday but still we're tracking it over the next few hours. we've been watching the fog develop. this happens when you get the onshore breeze, it targets the areas out to richmond, albany, berkeley, emeryville. that could impact your ride on interstate 80. we also have dense fog advisories out near the coastline, basically from the san mateo county coast down to the south down towards santa cruz and watsonville. this in place until 9:00 this morning. visibility is down to about one- quarter of a mile. the fog has increased in coverage over the past few hours. as far as current temperatures, still pretty chilly in the 40s out towards santa rosa and napa. downtown san francisco, 48 and san jose reporting partly cloudy skies, 52 degrees. throughout the

bart police, san francisco police and firefighters arrived, they found a homeless man in the elevator shaft. bart police say they also found a few other items on scene. >> bart police sergeant on scene did report that bedding and personal effects were found on top of the elevator car. now, whether those belonged to the man who is deceased or to someone else, and whether someone had been, you know, living in the shaft for a period of time, hopefully will be determined by the investigation. >> reporter: police say it appears the man was sleeping at the top and was crushed to death. he was found wedged between the elevator and the wall of the shaft. investigators are still trying to determine how that homeless man got into the shaft in the first place and apparently -- or how long had he been living there or if he had been living there at all. live in san francisco, cate caugiran, kpix 5. >> there were no delays on bart or muni as a result of this investigation. >>> family and friends are searching for an oakland woman missing for five

smith is live at san francisco state university. she is live with all the details. good morning, christie. >> reporter: good morning, jon. there are a lot of benefits to this. right now the courses that students need to graduate are over-enrolled and hard to come by. having online courses could make them more readily available. in some cases those online courses are much cheaper or even free. san jose state, for instance, offers massive open online courses for academic credit. started that recently in a pilot program. one popular online course costs just $150 when in a traditional classroom, just the book would be about that much. today, state senator steinberg will introduce a bill requiring public colleges and universities in california to offer online courses for academic credit, even though it's taught by private companies, not necessarily the university. governor jerry brown has been a big supporter of online education as a way of reducing costs. so, some professors worry that the online education system overall isn't properly vetted. the numbers, though, are eye opening. a
